When you call to schedule an appointment, we will ask you questions so that we understand your condition, make sure to schedule enough time with the doctor for your appointment, and arrange an urgent visit if necessary. We will also verify billing information, making sure that we have the correct insurance information and that any referral requirements are met, so that your MOS experience unfolds as smoothly as possible. Please note that if you are currently without insurance, you will be expected to pay at the end of your visit. We require a $150 payment at the time of visit or a $400 deposit at the time of visit for fracture care. We offer a 10 percent discount for payment in full at time of service.
If you have had any tests or procedures performed in regards to the condition we will be seeing you for, please arrange to bring the reports to your appointment. To request these records from elsewhere, you may be asked to complete a Records Request Form

You will be greeted at the clinic by one of our receptionists, who
will register you before showing you to an exam room. Then you will
meet with your physician, who will review all previous treatments
with you and discuss options appropriate for your symptoms, medical
history, lifestyle, and other considerations.
At the end of your appointment, your doctor will make sure you have
any prescriptions you need, instructions for self-care, or
recommendations for next steps. You will also be encouraged at every
visit to ask questions and express concerns you may have.
Our allied professionals will help you schedule any necessary tests,
including specialized x-rays such as MRIs and CT scans. They also
will arrange follow-up appointments, as necessary, with your
physician to discuss test results, mutually agree on a treatment
plan, and implement treatment over days, weeks, or months as your
plan requires.

Because fees for medical supplies have increased markedly, Minnesota
Orthopaedic Specialists, PA requires all patients to sign an
agreement to pay for medical supplies not reimbursed by your
insurance carrier.
At the time of service, you will be given the estimated charge for
those supplies. Many supplies can be purchased at a drugstore or
durable medical equipment provider. You may elect to purchase
supplies elsewhere, and we will be happy to provide you with
information about these options.

The MOS team approach
As a patient, you have turned to MOS to get answers about-and
solutions for-pain, restricted motion, or physical limitations that
impede your ability to work or pursue other normal activities of life.
Our commitment is to work in full partnership with you to provide
timely, appropriate care that will achieve the best possible medical
and lifestyle outcomes. MOS physicians work hand in hand with
highly skilled allied health professionals to ensure that all aspects
of your care and treatment reflect our high standards and meet or
exceed your expectations. The team approach permits care that is well
coordinated, responsive, and individualized from the very first
appointment.
We take a lot of pride in the high quality of our relationships with
our patients and in the excellence of our clinical and care
management skills. Our physicians and allied professionals sign
agreements affirming their commitment to patient service, including
attention to detail, liberal and honest communication, and
willingness to do whatever it takes to ensure a positive experience
and optimal outcome for patients. All aspects of our practice reflect
our concern for the health, well-being, and quality of life of our
patients.

Our goal is to sufficiently resolve your condition to enable you to
live a functional and active life. In building a relationship with
you, reviewing your medical history, and evaluating diagnostic tests,
your orthopaedist will determine the treatment options most
appropriate to the particulars of your condition, medical history,
and lifestyle needs. Treatment ranges from conservative options, such
as a combination of medical counseling, physical or occupational
therapy, and medications, to surgical options.
In many cases, patients may already have exhausted conservative
treatment options with other providers. MOS physicians are expert
orthopaedic surgeons who can help patients determine if surgery
offers the best opportunity for a successful outcome. Physicians will
explain surgical options and procedures, which may involve a hospital
stay or take place at a same-day surgery center. In all cases, patients
can rely on MOS physicians to perform surgical operations using
the latest and best techniques, facilities, and technology, and to
maintain a close relationship with patients to ensure complete
recovery.
